In December 2024, Tolitoli Regency experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation of 0.35 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.26.
The y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decline in prices, as indicated by the decrease in several expenditure group indices, namely: Recreation, sports, and culture group down by 1.59 percent; Food, beverages, and tobacco group down by 1.2 percent; Household equipment, appliances, and routine household maintenance group down by 0.98 percent; Information, communication, and financial services group down by 0.88 percent; Housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group down by 0.64 percent; Clothing and footwear group down by 0.41 percent. On the other hand, there was an increase in prices, as shown by the rising indices of several expenditure groups, including Food and beverage/restaurant services group up by 3.6 percent; Personal care and other services group up by 1.59 percent; Health group up by 1.58 percent; Transportation group up by 1.3 percent; and Education group up by 0.19 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Tolitoli Regency for December 2024 was 0.06 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate in Tolitoli Regency for December 2024 was 0.35 percent.
