In October 2024, Tolitoli Regency recorded a year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation rate of 2.65 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.84. This y-o-y inflation was due to price increases reflected in several expenditure group indices, including: the food and beverage/restaurant group (7.27 percent); food, beverage, and tobacco group (5.05 percent); personal care and other services group (1.57 percent); transportation group (0.64 percent); education group (0.19 percent); and clothing and footwear group (0.13 percent).
On the other hand, some groups experienced price declines, as shown by lower expenditure group indices: the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group (1.55 percent); recreation, sports, and culture group (1.49 percent); information, communication, and financial services group (1.38 percent); health group (0.79 percent); and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group (0.57 percent).
Tolitoli Regency registered a month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of 0.27 percent for October 2024, with a year-to-date (y-t-d) inflation rate of 0.17 percent as of October 2024.
