Abstract

  • The percentage of the poor population in September 2024 was 11.04 percent, a decrease of 0.73 percentage points compared to March 2024.
  • The number of poor people in September 2024 was 358.33 thousand, a decline of 21.43 thousand compared to March 2024.
  • The percentage of the poor population in urban areas in September 2024 was 7.34 percent, down by 1.27 percentage points compared to March 2024 (8.61 percent). Meanwhile, the percentage of the poor population in rural areas was 12.90 percent, a decrease of 0.43 percentage points compared to March 2024 (13.33 percent).
  • Compared to March 2024, the number of poor people in urban areas in September 2024 decreased by 12.07 thousand people (from 91.92 thousand in March 2024 to 79.85 thousand in September 2024). Meanwhile, during the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas decreased by 9.36 thousand people (from 287.84 thousand in March 2024 to 278.48 thousand in September 2024).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR 608,687 per capita per month, with the composition of the Food Poverty Line at IDR 456,444 (74.99 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line at IDR 152,243 (25.01 percent).
  • In September 2024, on average, poor households in Central Sulawesi had 5.43 household members. Therefore, the average Poverty Line per poor household was IDR 3,305,170 per poor household per month.
